Qualsafe Level 1 Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF)
This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides learners with a basic introduction to health and safety in the workplace, including the role that everyone plays in maintaining a safe working environment.

During this half-day course, learners will develop a basic knowledge of health and safety issues such as:
- Hazards and risks in the workplace
- Workplace conditions that can affect health and safety
- Requirements for workplace procedures
Who Should Attend?
The Qualsafe Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF) has been designed for all employees working in any workplace, to help raise their awareness of health and safety in the workplace. It is particularly beneficial for new starters, young workers, and those returning to work after a period of absence.

- The importance of health and safety in the workplace
- Roles and responsibilities of employers and employees
- Common workplace hazards and risks, including:
- Slips, trips, and falls
- Working at heights
- Manual handling
- Hazardous substances
- Machinery and vehicles
- Electricity
- Fire
- Stress
- Workplace conditions affecting health and safety
- Health and safety signage
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and its uses
- Importance of personal hygiene
- Purpose of first aid provision
- Need for reporting incidents and ill health
Assessment & Certification
Successful candidates will receive a Qualsafe Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF) certificate, valid for 3 years.
