Qualsafe Level 2 Principles of COSHH (RQF)

This regulated and nationally recognised qualification has been specifically designed to develop learners’ knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) Regulations and requirements.

Course Overview

During this half-day course, learners will develop their understanding of the law relating to hazardous substances in the workplace and the precautions and procedures required to ensure they are properly controlled. Topics covered include:

• Legal requirements relating to hazardous substances in the workplace
• Different forms that hazardous substances can take
• Effects that may arise after exposure to hazardous substances
• Routes that hazardous substances can enter the body
• How risk assessments contribute to the safe use of hazardous substances
• Precautions and procedures necessary to ensure risks are properly controlled
• Procedures for dealing with incidents involving hazardous substances
