ProQual Level 4 Award in Advanced Fire Risk Assessment

Course Description

The ProQual Level 4 Award in Advanced Fire Risk Assessment is a nationally recognised qualification designed for professionals

who assess fire risks in high-risk buildings. This programme strengthens your knowledge, skills and professional behaviours in line with BS 8674 – Built Environment: Framework for Competence of Individual Fire Risk Assessors.

Through two mandatory units—Principles and Practice of Advanced Fire Risk Assessment—learners gain the competence to undertake complex assessments in environments with increased hazards, such as multi-storey residential buildings, large commercial properties, healthcare facilities, heritage sites, and buildings with complex escape

 arrangements.

This Level 4 Award is Ofqual-regulated, recognised across the UK fire sector, and widely respected by employers and professional bodies. It is particularly

suited for those who want to demonstrate competence in advanced fire risk assessment or progress towards higher

  • Ideal for those working independently or as part of an organisation
  • Includes both theoretical and practical assessment (minimum 2 high-risk FRAs required)
  • Develops your ability to assess complex buildings and communicate findings professionally
  • Serves as a stepping stone to the ProQual Level 4 Certificate in Advanced Fire Risk Assessment
