
Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely (RQF)
Introduction

This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides learners with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in the principles of manual handling when moving objects and people.
Learners also have the opportunity to practise a range of techniques that they can apply to their workplace.
Overview
Over a 2 day period, learners will develop the knowledge and skills relevant to manual handling of objects and the safe moving and handling of people. Topics covered include: common handling injuries, the potential impact on a person if moved incorrectly, personal handling plans, preserving dignity, health and safety when moving a person and using equipment.

Intended Audience
The Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely (RQF) has been specifically designed for those who work, or intend to work, in a role that involves assisting and moving people. It is ideal for those working in a variety of health and social care environments such as care homes.
Assessment Methods
- 6 x Practical assessments
- 2 x 15 Multiple Choice Question paper (Theory assessment).
Certification
Successful learners will receive a personalised Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely (RQF) e-Certificate immediately after their results have been submitted, subject to a Centre’s Direct Claims Status and any required actions.
