Course description

Using computers, tablets, and display screens is a part of modern work — but improper use can lead to eyestrain, fatigue, back pain, and repetitive strain injuries. This DSE Awareness and Assessment course empowers learners to create safe, comfortable workstations and meet their legal obligations under UK health and safety law.

DSE risks aren’t limited to office environments — they affect home workers, mobile staff, and anyone who regularly uses screens for work. This course teaches learners to identify poor ergonomics, adjust their setup, and perform a self-assessment to improve comfort and productivity.

Developed by HSE-qualified consultants at SEITECH International, the course is suitable for all screen users, line managers, HR professionals, and safety representatives responsible for DSE risk management.

It supports compliance with the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 (as amended), the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, and guidance from the HSE.
