During this 1 day qualification, learners will develop an understanding of health and safety issues, including: health and safety laws, risk assessments and risk control hierarchy, identifying and controlling risks from common workplace hazards and more. The Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF) qualification is ideal for all employees to raise their knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.

What will i learn?

Understand the importance of health and safety in the workplace and its impact on individuals and organisations
Identify key responsibilities of employers and employees under UK health and safety legislation
Recognise common workplace hazards including slips, trips, manual handling, fire, and electrical risks
Understand the importance of risk assessments and how they help in preventing accidents and injuries
Describe how to maintain a safe working environment through effective housekeeping and safe systems of work
Identify safe practices in relation to manual handling, working at height, and use of work equipment
Understand the role of personal protective equipment (PPE) and how to use it effectively
Recognise the importance of fire safety, including common causes and the use of extinguishers
Understand procedures for accident reporting, investigation, and emergency response
Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging awareness, communication, and responsibility
