Course description

During this 3 hour qualification, learners will develop a basic awareness of working at height, focusing on key principles such as: safety considerations, legal obligations, hierarchy of control measures, reporting procedures for defective equipment and much more.

The Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Working at Height (RQF) is ideal for those who work in environments that involve safe working at height, such as building and construction workers, agricultural workers, factory and warehouse workers, forestry workers and more.

What will i learn?

Understand the legal duties and responsibilities of employers and employees when working at height
Identify what constitutes 'work at height' under UK legislation
Recognise common hazards associated with working at height, including falls and falling objects
Apply the hierarchy of controls to prevent or minimise risk while working at height
Understand the correct selection, use, and inspection of ladders, scaffolding, and mobile work platforms
Demonstrate awareness of collective and personal fall protection systems
Recognise the importance of planning and risk assessment for work at height
Understand the principles of safe access and egress in elevated environments
Identify emergency procedures and rescue plans related to working at height
Support a safe working culture by promoting awareness and early reporting of unsafe practices
